Wedge anchor BZ3 now also available in HCR stainless steel and in size M20

The MKT wedge anchor BZ3 HCR – the newly developed wedge anchor made of high corrosion resistant steel and in size M20 made of zinc plated steel and A4 stainless steel.

The HCR steel allows the use under particularly aggressive environmental conditions, as they may exist in swimming pools, in road tunnels or in contact with sea water. The BZ3 M20 enables anchoring of very high loads with variable setting depths and at small edge distances and anchor spacings.

Available sizes
The BZ3 HCR is available in diameters M8, M10, M12, and M16. Depending on the diameter, in up to 5 different lengths for variable setting depths and fixture thickness. The BZ3 M20 is available in lengths of 165 and 195 mm, in zinc plated steel and in A4 stainless steel for outdoor applications.

Approval/Assessment
The BZ3 HCR and BZ3 M20 are assessed by the European Technical Assessment ETA-19/0619 for using in cracked and non-cracked concrete (Option 1), including seismic applications of categories C1 and C2 and fire applications with ratings R30 to R120.

For higher loads under seismic actions, the annular gap between the BZ3 wedge anchor and the attachment can be filled using the filling washer VS / VS A4 and the injection mortar VMH.
