The European Technical Assessment ETA-17/0716 for the MKT VMH Injection System has been expanded to include additional points. This provides users with further options for demanding fastening applications in concrete.
The VMH Injection System is a versatile injection system for use in cracked and non-cracked concrete. It is suitable for anchoring high loads and consists of a styrene-free hybrid injection mortar plus a suitable V-A anchor rod (with chisel point and hex drive), VMU-A anchor rod or VMU-IG internally threaded rod. Alternatively, commercially available threaded rods with inspection certificate 3.1 or reinforcing bars may also be used.
Thanks to variable anchorage depths, the system can be optimized for the specific installation situation — including applications subject to seismic actions. The borholes can also be drilled using MKT SB hollow drill bits, eliminating the need for subsequent hole cleaning and by this reducing the dust exposure to a minimum.
Extensions of the ETA-17/0716
The ETA approval for the VMH Injection System has been expanded to include the following points:
- High-strength concrete
The application in concrete is now covered up to strength class C90/105, as commonly used for highly stressed structural components. - Variable service life for hot-dip galvanized anchor rods
The service life can be assessed depending on the corrosivity category according to EN ISO 9233. - Improved psi factor for temperature range I
The psi factor has been improved for temperature range I with 24/40 °C, resulting in significant higher load capacities under sustained loads.
With these additions, the MKT VMH Injection System offers even better planning options and flexibility for demanding anchor applications in building and civil engineering.
