With the update of ETA-19/0483, the MKT injection mortar VME plus has been approved for a number of additional applications. These include installation in steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC), in high-strength concrete up to C90/105 (HPC), as well as in diamond-drilled holes – also for cracked concrete and respective anchor design.
These approval extensions significantly broaden the range of applications, particularly in industrial and commercial construction as well as in demanding civil works. Additional flexibility is provided by the extended bond strength data to include an additional design temperature of 80 °C (short-term exposure) and the variable working life for hot-dip galvanized anchor rods – offering clear advantages for designers and users alike.
The VME plus is a high-performance mortar based on pure epoxy resin. In addition to ETA-19/0483 as an Option 1 approval for cracked concrete under static and seismic actions, VME plus is also approved under ETA-19/0671 for post-installed rebar connections. Both ETAs allow for a design working life of up to 100 years as well as a temperature-curve-based design for fire exposure.
