As modern injection mortars and bonded anchoring systems continue to evolve, the performance of chemical anchoring solutions keeps increasing. Premium systems such as VMH (ETA-17/0718), VME plus (ETA-19/0483) and the VZ-P resin capsule (ETA-20/0533) now achieve load capacities that often exceed the capacity of grade 5.8 anchor rods, even under demanding conditions such as cracked concrete or seismic loading.
To meet these increasing performance requirements, MKT has expanded its product range to include grade 8.8 anchor rods. The new anchor rods are available in zinc-plated and hot-dip galvanized versions and come in a wide range of diameters and lengths.
Thanks to the higher steel strength, the same load capacity can be achieved using smaller rod diameters, reduced embedment depths or fewer anchor points. This enables more economical and resource-efficient fastening solutions without compromising safety.
Grade 5.8 anchor rods remain an integral part of the MKT product portfolio. The range is complemented by stainless steel A4 (AISI 316) and high corrosion resistant (HCR 1.4529) versions for demanding applications.
