On January 21, 2026, Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth visited MKT’s production site in Weilerbach. The focus of the visit was the new production building, which has been awarded the DGNB Platinum Certificate. MKT currently operates the most sustainable production facility in Germany in accordance with DGNB guidelines.
During a tour of the site, Prof. Würth learned about the modern, sustainable construction methods as well as the production processes in place. In an address to the employees, he acknowledged MKT’s development to date and at the same time highlighted the company’s strong potential for further growth and a successful future.
Prof. Würth was accompanied by Bernd Herrmann (Member of the Group Executive Management of the Würth Group), as well as Thomas Klenk and Johannes Konrad. The visit provided an opportunity for personal exchange with the workforce and underscored the importance of the Weilerbach site for MKT’s continued development.
